Forensic Insight Consulting is a specialist division of Forensic Insight Ltd, providing independent forensic expert witness services to legal professionals across criminal and civil proceedings in New Zealand and internationally.
 
Led by Thomas Coyle MNZM, a highly experienced forensic practitioner and expert witness with over 37 years of operational and investigative experience, the consultancy delivers advanced fingerprint analysis, crime scene examination, and forensic evidence interpretation to the highest professional standards.
 
Thomas began his forensic career with New Scotland Yard, London, where he completed extensive training and qualified as a Fingerprint Expert and Crime Scene Specialist. He has held senior forensic roles including Borough Forensic Manager, Senior Forensic Practitioner, and Senior Laboratory Manager, working on complex and high-profile investigations across the UK and New Zealand.

Throughout his career, he has examined hundreds of homicide and serious crime scenes, as well as thousands of criminal and civil cases, developing specialist expertise in the recovery, preservation, analysis, and interpretation of forensic evidence. His experience spans a full spectrum of offences, including burglary, robbery, fraud, sexual offences, and homicide.
